Bio
Our REALTOR® spotlight this quarter recognizes Melodie Smith. Melodie joined the Paulding board in 2017 and has been an inspirational leader ever since. She is an integral part of our Events Committee, where she and partner in crime, Stacey Skelton Everson, work to bring to life incredible events. They have imagined and perfected everything from the center pieces to the programs when coordinating and executing some of the Board's most memorable events. Melodie has also contributed a wealth of knowledge to our Education Committee and served on the Board of Directors in 2020. Melodie achieved High Achiever status in 2018, which was her first full year in real estate, and has earned the credential every year since that time.
Prior to Melodie’s hugely successful real estate career, she was the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) Director. She served in this position for over 15 years for both Paulding and Polk/Harris county. Melodie worked relentlessly to find the best interest advocate for every foster child. She coordinated holiday philanthropy and fundraising, social gatherings, and fought hard for children when anything was needed. Melodie was single handedly responsible for CASA's fundraising and grant writing, working hand in hand with the juvenile court and the division of family and children services.
Melodie is an incredibly hard worker with an amazing heart. She is reliable and has the tenacity to meet the needs of clients, friends, family and most graciously the Paulding Board of REALTORS®. She is the kindest soul and the most zealous worker, and applies those qualities to everything she does. We applaud her and thank her for being a genuine soul and this quarter’s featured REALTOR® Spotlight.
