PBOR | March Post-License Courses

New to real estate and need your post-licnese course? Join us for this special series offered in March by Paulding Board of REALTORS®

(Flyer)

Within your first year of being an agent, you need to take an additional coursework to maintain your license. But since you’re already licensed, these courses aren’t a review — it’s the next step. These postlicense courses will arm you with the details you need to complete your real estate education and move forward with your career. “Risk Management” and “Skill Building” courses combined meet the Sales Post-License requirement.

For the Risk Management course, you will move beyond the license law and the Code of Ethics discussions of the pre-license class. Often along the way, this information is forgotten and can put the REALTOR® and their brokerages in tremendous jeopardy. Risk Management is designed to be an in-depth course study of the most critical aspects of their everyday responsibilities. The combination of this course with the “Skill Building” course meets the NAR Code of Ethics requirement! Additionally, this course alone satisfies the Georgia License Law requirement.

For the Skill Building class, you will learn to be the best REALTOR® you can be. This course will ensure REALTORS® use their forms correctly, understand the legal responsibilities when representing buyers and sellers, RESPA, best practices when negotiating, valuation of properties, branding, marketing, handling objections and an overall knowledge of the Code of Ethics. The combination of this course with the “Risk Management” course meets the NAR Code of Ethics requirement!

Special note about registration: The GAR registration website will be upgraded the week of February 11. Therefore, if you cannot register using the GAR website, contact the Professional Development Department at 678-597-4135, GRI@garealtor.com and a staff person will take your registration information. You will contacted for payment once your registration is processed.

Often along the way, this information is forgotten and can put the REALTOR® and their brokerages in tremendous jeopardy. Risk Management is designed to be an in-depth course study of the most critical aspects of their everyday responsibilities.

This course includes a detailed breakdown of the structure of the Code of Ethics and how each Article has practical application to a REALTOR®’s everyday business using actual case studies. It will also provide knowledge of the law and how it applies to their practice to reduce the REALTOR®’s liability. In addition, this course will provide an understanding of situations that can complicate a transaction such as procuring cause, arbitration, professional standards, BRRETA, diversity, fair housing, mortgage fraud, and antitrust. The importance of these items cannot be understated and can be the difference between maintaining status as a REALTOR® and losing their license.

REALTORS® will also have a good understanding of what the National Association of REALTORS® does for them along with their local and state associations and how the actions of their Associations have an effect on how they do business. REALTORS® will also learn how to take advantage of free benefits that can earn them income and save money.
