GRI Core Course – Risk Management

REALTORS® are exposed to license law and the Code of Ethics when they take the pre-license class. Often along the way, this information is forgotten and can put the REALTOR® and their brokerages in tremendous jeopardy. Risk Management is designed to be an in-depth course study of the most critical aspects of their everyday responsibilities. This course includes a detailed breakdown of the structure of the Code of and provides knowledge of real estate law and how it applies to your practice to reduce your liability. In addition, this course will provide an understanding of situations that can complicate a transaction such as procuring cause, arbitration, professional standards, BRRETA, diversity, fair housing, mortgage fraud, and antitrust. The importance of these items cannot be understated and can be the difference between maintaining status as a REALTOR® and losing their license. This course can be combined with the GRI Core Course “Skill Building” to provide Sales Post-License credit. This course meets the NAR code of ethics renewal requirement.

Carol believes education is extremely important no matter what your field of expertise is and, because teaching still in her blood, she became an instructor for NAR, GAR and local boards. Carol is a CRS and also holds designations and certifications in Short Sales and Foreclosures, Seller Representation, Accredited Buyer Representation, GREEN, Broker Price Opinion, e-PRO®. She will also soon be certified in Senior Residential Real Estate and Working with the Military. Carol has served as a President of her local Association and at the State level Carol has chaired the Course and Instructor Development Committee, served as an RPAC Trustee for six years and serves on the Forms Committee. She is extremely honored to have served as GAR’s Chair of State and Local Governmental Affairs for 2016. Carol has just finished four years as a Regional Director over multiple boards/associations. Her involvement comes from her belief that we all need to stay informed and to pay it forward. Carol is excited to share today’s information to help us be better at what we do.
